i have an 40 gb hard drive ...so i know i have the room...but yet i can only record for 3hr and 22 min at a time...before i changed machines,i used to be able to record ubtil i ran out of space..

can anyone point me in the right direction..thanks..

Your drive must be formatted as NTFS. FAT32 does not support files larger than 4GB, which is roughly 3:22 at 16-bit/44.1 kHz/stereo.
