Is there such a thing as a vsti sampler that works in Acid? I want to use some of the funky one shots that come with the loop cd's I have, but I don't have a sampler. I'm wondering if anyone can recomend a vsti sampler that works well with acid...? |

Many work OK with Acid. If you want one free, you can try SampleTank FREE here*: http://www.sampletank.com/STFreeDwn.html There are other VSTi samplers (BiteHeadz Unity, Creamware VolkSampler) that said to be good like NI Kontakt or VSampler. Another possibility you have is GigaStudio which seems to work fine with Acid too. Hope it helps you a little. Regards, jam * = I'm not 100% sure you can load what ever format you want. |

I haven't had any problems with Fxpansions DR-008... http://www.fxpansion.com/ I'm not sure of the format of you sample cds but go to the sight and read the feature list. HTH. Ed. |

yeah, the reason why sampletank free is *free* is because you can only use the included sounds (it's the full version otherwise). I use the Computer Music DS404 from time to time in ACID (I had problems with it in 4.0 and 4.0a but SoFo fixed it for 4.0b). It's alright. Definitely not the best sampler, but it's free. |
