Subject:Problems During Acid Playback

I have an older version of Acid (1.0d) and, after upgrading to Windows 2K, I can no longer play any files (loops, .wav files, etc) with it. Every time I get an error message, "An error occurred while starting playback. An unsupported media type was requested." Oddly enough, I can playback individual loops just fine in the loop preview at the bottom of the screen, but they won't play when "painted" on the big canvas, above. I'm using the correct soundcard, so that shouldn't be the problem. Any other ideas? Perhaps some new driver I need to install? |

You can try updating your soundcard drivers. I'm pretty sure, though, that ACID 1.0 isn't supported in later versions of Windows such as Windows 2000 and XP. Iacobus |

You should reinstall ACID from the original CD. The error message indicates that some component of ACID is not installed and registered correctly. Peter |
