i've upgraded to "D" but the computer freezes when I start the program now.The task manager shows Its using 100% usage and that 99% of that is in the syscfg32.exe file. The original CD version still works when I re-install that. What do I do????

It sounds like your computer is infected w/ a Virus.

This is a worm specific to the Kazaa network. You can get more details here:

You are going to need to do a little housecleaning on your machine to get it running smoothly again. If you are able you might want to consider formating and starting over. Excessive and annoying, yes. But if you are a regular Kazaa user syscfg32.exe may not be the only thing hiding on your system.

It sounds like you have an original CD so do yourself a favor and download your updates from official sources. This will keep you from running into such problems.

You can find the official update here:

I did clean my hkey run files as described in the link you gave me.The syscfg32.exe file was originating there and I deleted all reference to it in both the run files.I loaded a new version of sound forge upgrade "d" and it works fine.Thank you for your help.
