what's directx plug-ins? and what's a VST instrument? I am kind of new to computer based music program,so I've got lots of question for you guys~ and thank you for sharing your experience and so kind that you guys responded my question. o.k~back to business, so far I know that directx plug-ins is like effects you can apply to your sounds ex.dely, flange, noise gate, and eq etc. how about VST instrument? thank you ~ |

Somebody fairly recently posted a very good answer to these questions here. Try searching in the forum archives for the answers you seek. And go to kvr and look through the instruments descriptions and tutorials. It'll start to sink in. Also, enter those very general terms (VST instrument, DirectX plugin) in Google and you'll get tons of info. Diane P.S. VST instruments (VSTi--I emphasize the "i" because VST and VSTi are not the same thing) are digital instruments based on Steinberg's VST technology. Like any instrument, they play something; they make sounds. Not all software is VSTi-compatible. Acid is. |
