This week's 8 Pack blurb has a paragraph in it with a verbal spanking to all those who bootleg loop libraries. I suspect most people in here are on the up-and-up, so I'm probably preaching to the choir, but...

I'm on some of the Acid Yahoo groups, and I'll see the occasional "swap libraries" posts, etc. VERY UNCOOL. These creeps even brag about those of us who "pay tons of money for the software..."

I think we should do what we can to crack down on these people. Report them to SoFo, etc. This practice isn't fair to those who create the libraries, and it isn't fair to those of us who regularly purchase libraries -- both because we're paying for the use AND because bootlegging limits what SoFo and other loop producers are able to put out in the future.

If you're using bootlegged loops, buy the libraries. As you can see in some of the posts in this forum, there are hundreds of freebies out there. Grab those if you don't have the cash. Those of us who do this for a living don't need to be competing with broke-dick losers who think this stuff magically appears without any sacrifice of time, talent or money.

I agree. Buy your own... or make your own, but don't steal.
