Subject:What are these sfk files?

I have 10 tracks that I had in a folder I recorded in SF XP 4.5. I wanted to put them in a new folder, when I went to get them, there was double. One was 001, 001skf, 002, 002skf, 003, 003skf, 004, 004skf, 005, 005skf, etc..., What are these sfk files? If I want to drag the files into my CD Burning Software, wich ones do I drag, 00's or the 00skf's? Thank you, Chris.

The .sfk files help to redraw the waveform in Sound Forge. Drag the .wav files (or whatever format you recorded) to your CD.

So if I edit the file, it will be the skf. Why would I not use the skf?

Think of the .sfk file as a thumbnail view. All it does is help the waveform display on the screen draw faster. It doesn't contain any audio at all. If you view details in the explorer window you'll see that they're all extremely tiny as compared to the media files.

If the .sfk files really annoy you Dog, delete them, you will not lose or damage anything.

Isn't it weird that none of this is mentioned in the Sforge "Help"?
