Subject:How to pitch bend to a full stop?

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate a turntable stopping until a full stop. In order to achieve that I'm tweaking with "Pitch Bend" on SoundForge 6. The problem is that this tool only allows me to slow down the sound to minus 24 semitones, meaning that at the end the sound will be slower but not stopped.

How can I do what I want to do? Do I need a 3rd party plug-in? Which one?

Best regards,

Norberto Henriques

Jut try doing the the pitch bend twice at it's highest setting on the same piece of audio. You can do more if necessary though you will notice a degregation in quality after too many passes. A bit of fiddling about, and you should be able to get it sound right.

Of course, 'stopped' means silence - so once you're happy with an almost stopped sound, do a fade out.
