curser not doing what i want it to. -Sound Forge - PC

At work I can actually place the cursor ahead of my selection (while at the same time i'm playing my selection) and the curser won't interupt the playback and jump to wherever I move it. I like that. At home it's a different story. I've looked for a setting to make it behave the same as at work but no luck. Everytime I click somewhere else ahead of the curser (while at the same time I'm playing back my selection) the curser wants to jump there. How can I change this to behave it behave like the first senareo?
