I need to shorten a chorus in half, cutting all audio and loops tracks. Whats the easiest way to do this in 4.0? any links to editing info is appreciated. all i've found so-far just covers the basics. i'm looking for more advanced , step by step editing info. thanks. |

thanks tascolas. ripple edit. cool. I'm still not clear on how to select the part of the event that is in the Time Selected area only? when i click on the events in the highlighted region, it selects ALL of the event..... even the part that runs over the edit region. |

You'll need to split the tracks... move the track-cursor thing (y'know, the white vertical line) to the appropriate place, select all, then hit 's'. Then you can select just the bits you want... HTH john.. http://www.namke.com/ |

It basically doesn't matter with the Time Selection Tool. Anything you select within the Loop Region will be included; anything overlapping outside the Region (even it belongs to a whole event) will not be included when edited, like when deleting. It will essentially cut the event(s) at the mark in and mark out points of the Loop Region. HTH, Iacobus |
