I am running a Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-770 through MIDI inputs on my computer into Acid 4.0. The problem is I want to be able to play the drum sounds into Acid through MIDI yet when I was pressing the buttons on the drumkit all I got were the sounds of some VSTi softsynth that was there. How do I configure it so that I can record the drum sounds in Acid through the MIDI (either by pressing the buttons on the drum kit or by using the piano roll editor)? |

Are you trying to record the actual samples off of the DR-770 itself? Try using digital audio instead of MIDI. Remember that MIDI is just a set of instructions and not the actual audio itself. HTH, Iacobus |

Well I thought there was a way to control the drum kit through the piano roll editor. I was testing to see if that could work because I am planning on getting an external synth that needs a MIDI controller. |

You may want to check out a related thread on this issue. There's also another here. HTH, Iacobus |
