When the song is playing & you're recording a track thru a midi keyboard, the sounds you're recording aren't audible! Every $50 midi tool on the market can do this... And there's nothing in the instructions about this |

Go to tools/preferences (i don't remember which it is at the top) and 'enable real-time midi'. If that doesn't solve the prob, go to the midi tab in preferences and do further setup there. Lots of times, all you have to do is ask a question and someone will do their best to answer it for you. I'm not too hip on answereing/responding to beligerent postings. Just see my reply to DICK Withers' posting. (No dignified response came forth from me....) Fresnog |

In 4.0 , Enable Real Time MIDI is under OPTIONS. or you can hit Alt+F7 |

i tried that too but still don't hear while recording... and even after recording, the sound that comes out is a pathetic piano thingie. Where are the nice sounds from the demo song that loads up? :) I want a nice explorer window like FruityLoops, which shows all the VST's and sounds off the bat. ACID gives me no hint where to get sounds. I can see they're reeeeeally trying to make a sale here with this demo version $300+ bucks to layout, but i haven't seen a real sound yet from the product :) |

Thank you.... sorry for being so down here in the postings, i've just been so frustrated with this product. I know people like it, but everything i see about it tells me to steer far away & stick with Orion & Fruity. The only thing i see good about it is it accepts vocals |

yes my friend, acid has it's flaws...but then again, so do I I suppose? But with some hard work, and a little personality trait some call patience, acid is capable of making you sound like a pro. I have songs that sound amazingly advanced, why? Because acid allows me to master loops....so why don't you buy an acid for dummies book, or check out some of their tutorials and invest a little time in inproving your reading skills... as for sounding the way it does in the demo, just open up the demo songs, delete all the arangment, but leave the tracks in place. That why you'll be able to play with the loops they include, and even get to use their vsti the way they set it up? Brilliant aren't I? |

There is a "midi thru" option when you hit record and the monitor window appears..just drop down that list and you will find any softsynths in your tracks available, as you play, the one you select is what you will hear..Don't panic!! |
