I sometimes have some long avi clips that I am trying to fix. I read the directions in NR2, and it says that after I set my "sample" then I right click and choose "select all data". This applies the effect to the whole clip. But what if I am using a very small portion for the clip? How do I set the window so that the effect is applied to only the places that I want. And when it renders, does it have to rerender the whole file? Why can't it just alter the part of the clip I changed? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx. KJellster |

If you choose 'select all data', presumably it selects all data. After the noise-print stage, reselect the area of the file you want treated, then apply the noise plugin. That's if it's anything like most (all ?) other plugins .... geoff |

Select the area to take the noiseprint from, open NR > Capture Noiseprint > Preview, adjust the settings if need be to reduce the noise > Stop > save as a preset > close NR > select the area of the wave you want to apply NR to > open NR > select the preset you just created, you can preview and if it's what you want click OK. Repeat this selecting another area of the file you want to apply it to. This procedure will only work if the noise you took the noiseprint from is the same in all the areas of the file you want to apply NR to and you may also hear the transition between processed and unprocessed sections.
