can't hear keyboard when recording midi -ACID Product Family

Thinking about buying, but even the relatively easy things I could do in fruity, i can't do here. ie, I want to record a new midi track, while the existing song plays. 1. The midi is received & recorded, but i can't hear it as its being recorded! No external sounds, i want to use an existing ACID sound from the song. 2. I don't see a place to select ACID sounds for new tracks. And actually I've browsed around and can't find any new sounds:) thanks 4 any help jason shohet ash477@hotmail.com
