Subject:p4 denormal cpu spike Posted by: suprox Date:1/24/2003 2:02:39 AM p4 2.4 Ghz 4.0b winXP I have symptoms that almost exactly match the descriptions of people with the p4 cpu spike problem. Only diffrence is the cpu goes to 0% instead of 100% as described in the other posts. What could this be? Playback studders in same spot each time while looping ( cpu drops to 0% utilization ) Also sometimes during file open when "bulilding peaks" acid hangs/pauses and cpu goes to 0% .
