Upgrade to VV4

fdooman wrote on 1/20/2003, 10:11 PM
I’m the register user of Vegas Video 3.0 and recently purchased the plug-in pack. But now I see plug-in pack is part of Vegas Video 4.0. I hope they will take this in to Consideration and have special upgraded price to version 4.0 from 3.0 plus plug-in pack And I’m sure they are going to have upgraded price for 3.0 to 4.0. My whole point is to get Little more discount for plug-in pack.

I recently purchased the Vegas Video Plug-In Pack as well. I also purchased the 5.1 Surround Plug-In for ACID. According to the FAQ, SOFO won't announce upgrade pricing until Vegas 4 is available for purchase. I certainly hope SOFO takes into account users who own VV3, the plug-in pack, AND the 5.1 surround plug-in, if they choose to purchase Vegas+DVD (like me).

Is this the 3D Fx plug in pack you are referring to? Haven't had time to really look at VV4 so I really have no idea what is different, other than the addition of non-real time scopes. The waveform may enable me to trash my ancient Hitachi. As for the Vector Scope, the only time I ever use one is to synch the cameras and VTRs connencted to a switcher.

Hi, If you are talking about the Pixelan Spicemaster and effects pluggin, take a look at their site: there will be a free upgrade for Spicemaster if purchased after Dec 15; 89$ upgrade for present SM1 users.

I am confident the SoFo upgrade path will be generous, even for those who have purchased SoFo add-ons. It always has been.

I'm talking about the Vegas Video Plug-In Pack.
fdooman wrote on 1/21/2003, 11:43 AM
This is a add-on to Vegas video 3.0 called plug-inpack and the price is $139.00

Wow! I just bought the 3D plug in pack, about early December. 139 USD = 210 CAD, not a small amount of cash.

Where did you see that the plug-in pack comes with Vegas 4?
fdooman wrote on 1/21/2003, 8:30 PM
If you try beta version 4.0 you will see all the 3d plug-ins part of vegas video 4.0

Been playing around VV4 for two days now, just one question: WHERE ARE THE BLOODY BUGS!?!?! LOL isn't suppose to be a beta ? it doesn't crash nor give me strange errors...is this normal? ;)

I have high hopes for a special upgrade price for the first month when the final version is going to be released. Acid 4.0 was going around for 99u$ no? me thinks VV4 upgrade will have the same deal (praying very hard)

Well, I have noticed that ShuttlePro only gets VV4 to 4x speed. Have to use the mouse to get to 20x. Since this is all a far cry from 2x, I'll just figure how to fix it myself!

we all pray. Hope to see a good upgrade price for register users and hope to
see more discount for someone who paid for 3d plug-in pack for Vegas Video 3.0

I will settle for a good price on the upgrade---the rest is nonsense----my God, there is some risk in buying technology---should I be real pissed off at Dell for selling me a 1.4 ghz computer for a couple of grand then a couple of months later offering it for half that price----

Try going to Options - Preferences - Editing tab. On this tab, change the JKL/Shuttle Speed to FAST. This should allow the shuttlepro to go faster than 4x.

Worked like a charm! Thanks.
