Thanks Ramallo, you beat me to the punch... And thanks to SonicEPM for clarifying this for me ... that settles it - I will be buying the AC-3 Plugin for sure!!!! (as if it was in doubt) So SonicEPM - is it safe to say that the next rev of Vegas(4) will include support for 5.1 surround panning/keyframes? ;-) (thank you, thank you, thank you....) CAP'NDigital |

I am a registered owner of Soft Encode, plus VV3, and becuase of this post, I ordered the 5.1 plug in for ACID (Which I also own) to use with "the next release of Vegas". Now, I see that it comes with VV4+DVD. Will the fact that I spent $199 on this plug in be reflected in the upgrade price to VV4+DVD? Thanks :-jon |

I did exactly the same in purchasing the AC-3 encoder because of this thread. Now I see that there is Vegas + DVD and I have the same question. Will this purchase offset any cost of buying Vegas +DVD or if I want DVD architect, do I still have to pay the full upgrade price? Dave |

Why don't you call customer service and see if they can sort you out? There have been a number of similar threads in the Vegas forums, and people seem to be pretty happy with their service so far. Mark |

If you get a reply, please post here. I sent an email out to them 2 days ago and have no reply yet. The silence on this is not encouraging. The question has been asked several times in the past three weeks on the Vegas forum, ever since the beta was released with pricing information, and no reply yet other than from customers who aren't in this situation complaining that we would ever insinuate SOFO might charge twice for the same thing, even though there is no official indication from SOFO to the contrary. |

I believe Sofo support have a policy of dealing with phone enquiries first & then e-mail. I would imagine that the phone lines are probably busy at the momment & they will get around to the e-mails. Before you ask, yes I bought the 5.1 encoder when it was released, no I haven't phoned (I'm in the UK), yes I have sent an e-mail , no I haven't got a reply yet & I am waiting patiently as the offer dates are for quite a while yet. |

Glad to hear they sorted you out Vonhosen. My experience with calling SF before has been that they answer the phone pretty promptly. I had to call last week to get a registration number for Sound Forge 5 after I had to reformat my HD and lost my original number. They sorted me out in less than 3 minutes from when I picked up the phone. Just thought you Europeans might like to know, in case you're afraid of spending hours on hold. Of course, neither I nor SF would guarantee that you get the same speed of service I did. Especially now Vegas 4 is out. Mark |
