Advice on FX use in 5.1 mix

I'm new to mixing in surround so I'm just playing around with mixing a short music track in 5.1. I've already done a stereo mix of it in Vegas, and now I want to create 5.1 mix as well.

In my stereo mix, I've got 3 separate busses: (A): dry, (B): reverb and (C): delay.

Kickdrum and bass go to (A), all crashes, snare, percussion, general instruments etc. go to (B) and my solo instrument goes to (C). That way I can just run one Reverb engine and one Delay engine, and don't have to have separate fx engines running for each instrument.

Now, my question is; how can I do a similar thing in surround? As far as I can see in a surround mix, I can't have multiple surround busses. If I add additional busses, they just come up as stereo busses.

I can send from a track to one of the stereo busses, which then becomes like a kind of AUX send to that bus, but that signal then just goes to that stereo buss and doesn't seem to make it's way back to the total surround mix.

Anybody have any advice or directions on how to set up this? Basically I want the behavior of "busses" where I just have ONE reverb engine running, and every instrument I want reverb on; I want to feed it through that one reverb engine. How can I get a similar thing in surround?

Any direction, help, pointers would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

(Oh by the way, I'm using the pre-release Beta of Vegas 4.0)

Kind regards,
