DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO LOWER JUST THE VOCALS IN A SONG.
I DOWNLOAD ALOT OF INSTRUMENTALS AND IN SOME OF THEM
I CAN HEAR THE VOICE OF THE SINGER BUT VERY VERY LOW
AND HARDLY NOTICABLE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT INSTRUMENTALS WERE
MADE BY REMOVING THE VOICE COMPLETELY,BUT I GUESS THEY JUST
LOWER IT SO MUCH U CANT HEAR IT. DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS?
MAYBE SOME ASSIGNABLE FX'S COULD DO THE TRICK? ANYBODY KNOW WHICH ONES??
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP IF U KNOW ANYTHING ON THIS SUBJECT. THANKS!

first you get a large screwdriver, then use that to flip the Caps Lock key off your keyboard. nobody will ever take you seriously if you post like you do.

as for vocal substraction, if you'd done a FORUM SEARCH like most people you would have seen that it's virtually impossible to do.

I've used a free Directx plugin to do vocal removal in Cooledit. I think any vocal removal should be labeled "vocal reduction", as complete removal is impossible. You can download it here: http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/audio.htm It works fairly well, but as with any vocal removal, you are also removing a lot of the quality of the recording as well.

The all caps is hard to read. I'm not sure what's being asked here! Is the request to strip out vocals from a single track where vocals and instruments are mixed or to have the effect of a whispering voice over an instrument track?
