Um... this is strange... I've never used or had an M-AudioSport USB Device, and I just got my copy of Acid Pro 4.0 and when I open it.. it says "Failed to initialize M AudioSport ASIO Driver". I'm using an Edirol UA-1A for my audio input/output. How the hell do set it up so it's not looking for an ASIO device or driver? |

ACID looks for all registered ASIO drivers. This is how ASIO works. If we find an entry in the registry for the driver, then we attempt to see if it is valid. Some drivers pop up warnings like you see for the M AudioSport. To clear this problem, run regedit and look at this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO You will see a list of all ASIO drivers that have ever been installed on your system. If you find anything you don't believe is on your box, then either - delete the associated key or - rename the value labled "CLSID" to "xCLSID". When you start ACID ACID will no longer attempt to use any ASIO driver that you either deleted or renamed/disabled. Peter |
