Subject:acid 4 please stop overriding my 'acidized' file info!!!

when i load old projects (v2) into acid 4, it designates tracks as 'one-shot' or 'loop' based on the settings in the preferences-->options "Open files as loops if between (seconds): [0] - [60]" instead of just opening them as whatever they were when i saved the file. this is bad bad bad. please fix! also it seems that even in new projects when i load files from the explorer, the options setting takes precedence over whatever info was stored with the file. what ever happened to 'acidized' information stored with files? it seems to be ignored and overriden by this setting. no big deal except that i have to manually edit track properties far too often... at the least, there should be a checkbox in options to turn "Open files as loops..." on or off per user preference. the 'black or white' nature of this option is too often counterintuitive. i'm sure i'm not the only one whose library contains plenty of "long" one-shots and plenty of "short" loops... |
