i posted a midi question a few days ago and "iacobus" answered it quite well and i think might have solved my problem. BUT, i am trying to find the virtual midi router for 4.0b (YES, it is a legit version!!!!)he put a link on his reply, but when i try to download it it only gives me an option for WIN NT and 2000. and an option for WIN ME. i run WIN XP PRO. and no option. is there no vmr associated with 4.0??? the version 4.0b i have is a downloaded version right from sofo website. am i doing something wrong??? does this thing exist? i am trying to find it, but i cant. can anyone help?? thanx. --marc |

if you have XP you need the Windows 2000 driver for the VMR. both operating systems are similar, so the Windows 2000 VMR should work on XP as well. |

Ditto what ATP said. Should've mentioned to pick up the NT/2000 version of the VMR. Sorry about that. :) Iacobus |

A question about SoFo's VMR for those in the know. Does it work with apps other than SoFo's? Seems like it should, but I don't want to install it to try it without a little reassurance. Diane |

Yes. (ACID likes to be the master in any MIDI sync situation, so be aware the app you're slaving ACID to is capable as such.) HTH, Iacobus |

Oh, well, I guess that knocks Acid out as my dummy VSTi player while I'm composing in Harmony Assistant. But good to know VMR will work with other things. Thanks! Diane |
