What's up Acid Headz........ Quick question I understand that Acid offers CD's that contain thousands & thousands of loops for every type of genre. I'm into House & Trance music. One thing that I noticed about Acid loops are that they're great! but all of the beat loops are all premade. I want to make my own beats, add my own snares & symbols. Do those CD's include kick drums, & drum rolls, snare build-ups For anyone out there that's into House music you guys know what I'm talking about.....Drum Rolls to introduce the breakdown, stuff like that. If so, which Acid loop library CD do you guys recomend??? |

I do know that using One-shots instead of Loops will allow you to create and build those snare build-ups and drum rolls as well as create your own rhythms. (I do this all the time.) You just need a little knowledge of music theory and, of course, One-shots. Some loop libraries have them, some don't. (The Junkyard Rhythms collection has a ton; I've heard the Essential Percussion collection has a large set too.) Email me if you want a sample project of percussion One-shots in action. For those who might need it: I've been teaching myself music theory, and dipping into Gary Ewer's free online music theory lessons has been a great help to me. I just ordered his CD set so I can work through it systematically and see where my knowledge gaps are. Diane |

Do a search on the internet. There are loads of drum samples out there. They won't be called one shots, but they work just the same. I have found full 808 and 909 kits and even complete sets of samples from drum machines. |
