This IS a good forum. I read it religiously every day and learn all kinds of new things...things that apply in general to digital audio work as well as the Acid-specific stuff. So, thanks folks! |

You know, as much as we get into bashing Acid in this forum, today I am feeling very greatful for having this app. Because it taught me a different way of thinking about composing: loop-based composition. I've been working on a new piece all of two days, and it's about two-thirds finished. Not bad for something that's almost 7 minutes long. I'm not going to do any of it in Acid, though. I'm composing it straight in Harmony Assistant (my scoring program) and will render it all out to dry mono waves from there. Maybe mix it in Acid. But all day today, as this thing was just coming TOGETHER, I was thinking "I am so glad I bought Acid." Diane |
