Review: Vegas Video, DAC-2, my laptop & Betacam

This is a rather long review I wrote describing an out of town project I did last week. In a nutshell, the footage was shot in BetacamSP, transcoded through a Datavideo DAC-2 into my Dell Inspiron laptop running Vegas Video 3.0. (Of course, you know they'd release VV4 the month after I plopped down my money for VV3)

Anyhow, if anyone wants to read the ravings of a lunatic, follow this link to my website:

I'd love to hear about any ideas or similar experiences you folks have encountered.

Dave

Reading your story brought back memories of many nights chasing that damn elusive problem. I could feel your pain while reading your story. We do need a lot of patience don't we!
Great story, thanks.

Woah there! Been there done that!

I've encountered this Inspiron fan/s blue screening on my 8000 Inspy. There appears to be a callout from the BIOS, momentarily, enough to trip-up the firewire feed on PTT.

Dave read your tale of woe. PLease read my story:

There is a solution- have a read - see what you think.
