Subject:P4 vs. Athlon Posted by: suprox Date:1/16/2003 3:05:04 PM Is there any way we can find out wether acid4 is supposed to run better on the Intel or Amd platform ? I was running an Athlon 1.2 and I just moved to a P4 2.4. It seems to me that the Athlon responded alot quicker. ALOT quicker. When triggering markers with the number keys for example, on the Athlon I could use all 8 fingers and just go off, rapid fire style and the Audio would retrigger and sound like a machine gun Restarting rapidly, very responsive. With the P4 when I do the same thing It just lags and gets one or two audio re-starts per 10-14 key presses. The same happens with just clicking the cursor and restarting the audio. Not nearly as fast of a response. Any one else have any experience with this?

The duron is just the next step down from an athlon. So i would think it would run better than my system and i am satisfied with my system speed Mako
