Vegas And Audigy Problems

I am having various problems with audio playback when using my Audigy sound card. These could involve stuttering playback, time-out error messages, etc.
I have been advised that Audigy cards do all internal calculations at 48KHz. so that the system must resample the audio on-the-fly, which can leads to such problems.
But when I set my sampling rate within Vegas Project Properties to 48KHz, the problem still occurs and this doesn't seem to make any difference. Any info on this appreciated, cheers.

Simply put - Soundblaster products and pro audio do not mix. Seems like you have married one of the best audio apps available to one of the worst sound cards available. Almost like putting $30.00 tires on a Ferrari. You really need to move up to a pro level sound card and go from there.

Also some computer specs would help so we can see if there are other parts of the system that need some help.

Make sure you have the absolute latest Audigy drivers from Creative. Previous versions had some serious problems.

Check for IRQ sharing. If the Audigy is sharing with another device, move it around until it has its own interrupt.

Yeah, I was having similar problems with ACID 4.0 but everything seems to be okay now that I installed the latest driver from creative and set my sampling rate to 48KHz. Hope this works for you too.
