If you've got the cash, here's your option...http://www.streamworksaudio.com/news.php I choose to use Acid as my main composition tool. If I ever get to needing to look at this argument differently, here's what looks to be a solution. Now all you trolls get back under the bridge... DB |

I don't understand what you're saying? first of all there is no rewire "argument". any one who uses other audio applications in addition to acid pro or has issues with the vst, vsti, midi implementation, or surround in acid would benefit from rewire. it allows seamless integration with other applications. either you need it or you don't...many do. all of the apps beside protools listed on your link: the project 5, sonar 2.2, and Melodyne all claim to have "ACID-style" control of audio. guess what? they all have rewire. so how does this change a call for rewire in acid pro? it doesn't, it just solidifies that other companies realize the importance of this feature. so are you saying that the solution is forget rewire in acid altogether and just jump ship to another platform? I’m sorry, I paid for acid pro and feel I have a right to ask for an important feature. I like the low CPU overhead and the instant gratification of Reason's drum machine and synths. I also like the vst, vsti, effects and midi implementation of Logic Audio. and I too CHOOSE to use acid pro as my main compositional tool because how it intelligently handles audio with a very easy to use GUI. I'm just tired of shuffling wav files back and forth. |
