Subject:Effects in real time?

Possibly the dumbest question I've asked here, and I think the answer is "no". BUT, can effects be applied in real time during the recording of an instrument in Acid (or even in Vegas)? For instance, can I record an acoustic guitar and hear a chorus effect at the same time? Or would I have to apply it after the fact as I would to a pre-recorded loop? Couldn't find it in the help or by experimentation.

No, sorry, there's no input monitoring type of feature. (I don't think there's one in Vegas either.)

It also depends on your hardware. I have a Creamw@re Pulsar2 card. I can add effects when recording.

in logic you can monitor effects and instruments in real time know matter what hardware you're using.

if acid had rewire you could "print" the effects while recording in logic and have your acid sequence blissfully playing along in perfect sync.

post a message on the rewire petition thread and let them know.

one more plug for rewire...LOL
