Subject:Problems installing Acid 4.0 on XP Home

I have Acid 4.0, Sound Forge 6.0, and Vegas 2.0 & 3.0 installed on my Win 98 machine, all fine and dandy. They all work just fine. I went to install them on Win XP Home Operating System and they installed but will not take the serial numbers (NONE of them!). The keygens work for all users of 98, but not XP. Is there a setting that can be changed, or is it just XP's unusually overactive paranoia keeping it from working? What is the problem?

When I tried to enter my Acid serial number manually, it wouldn't take it. When I registered directly online, it took. I've got XP Pro, but have had from the beginning, before I ever bought Acid. Yes, XP likes to control things...that's a plus and a minus.
