Subject:can't get my wav's to work in cd players.codec problem?

I have sound forge 6.0 and my files won't play, nothing will pick them up, including windows media player, real player, and cd players,... only in sound forge will it work. When i burnt the files to cd, the cd burnt it, and it said it was burnt successfully with no errors. The files play fine in SF6.0.
Now I am convinced it has something to do with the codec because when I try to play it in windows media player it says it doesn't have the right codec to play it. it's weird because with sound forge 4.5, i could play them. How do i get the right codec? someone please help me out.

What format are you saving them as?? If you are saving them in a MP3 or a WAV format then they should work in Windows media Player and most anything else.

What are the resolutions (bit-depths) and sample rates of those files? Players such as Windows Media Player can't play 24-bit/96 kHz files, for example.

To convert the files so they are playable, use the Process>Resample and Process>Bit-Depth Converter commands on the menu bar (in that order). Use 44.1 kHz for sample rate and 16-bit for resolution.
