Subject:TERRATEC VS CREATIVE ?

Hi, I am looking for a new 5.1 soundcard.
I first thought about the "creative audigy".
But when I went to a soundstudio shop, they sad that the - TerraTec SoundSystem DMX 6fire LT, is much better, is that true?
And they have almost the same price too.
And is there a better soundcard than both of them, for the same price?

i have read lots of reviews and forum threads in my own search for a new card, and 99% of the time the Terratec came out as the big winner. i can't really talk from experience tho, as i now have a Live 5.1 (old card) and an Audiophile (new card) in my system, but i guess if you want to get a card for games then get the Audigy, if you want to get a card for making music get the Terratec. just my opinion tho, someone correct me if i'm wrong. :)

I bought a Terratec DMX 6fire 24/96 last year and must say I am very happy. The only thing it doesn't have over the creative card is soundfont support. As a previous Soundblaster user I can say that I haven't missed this at all.

I have had no problems using the Asio drivers in Acid (4.0b) and get ridiculously low latencies on my AMD 1800+ Windows XP-based workstation.
