Acid 4.0 Stutters more than Acid 2.0! -ACID Product Family

I have similar problems with Acid 4.0b. ----------- I am using version 4a. Here's an example of a project I'm having trouble with: Total Number of tracks: 21 of which: 4 are midi tracks 3 are one shots 14 are looping (5 are assigned to Bus A - number of effects: 2 (wavehammer and express reverb) Number of Buses 1 Acid is using 41 MB out of 1024MB (info Acid bottom right hand corner) CPU usage at idle = 2-4% (Task Manager) - on playback Acid is using 60-65% of resources but after about 2 minutes playback it suddenly shoots up to 100% and falls over. Some tests: 1 track no effects (the rest muted) CPU usage 5-7% no problems 5 tracks, no effects (1 audio , 4 midi, other audio tracks muted) CPU usage: Peaks at 19% 12 Audio tracks, no effects (4 midi muted, 5 audio on Bus A muted) CPU Usage peaks at 74% 16 tracks (4 midi, no effects on audio, 5 audio on Bus A muted) CPU Usage: Peaks at 74% All audio tracks (17 tracks, 5 on Bus A): Usage 50-60% but after about 90 seconds usage shoots over 100% sound glitches, application unstable. I tested a 30 track project created in Acid 2 (no effects) Acid 2 CPU usage 0-4% ( peaking at 11%. Acid 4 CPU usage 5-7% (peaking at 35%) Obviously I can't test the project made in Acid 4 inside Acid 2 but Acid 4 seems to have some memory issues. Will any of the fixes in the upcoming Acid 4.0b address memory problems? Why is Acid using 74% of my CPU to play a 12 track file with no effects? And what can I do to stop the glitching - abandon the Bus and effects? They were the main reason I upgraded! peaks at 74%
16 tracks (4 midi, no effects on audio, 5 audio on Bus A muted) CPU Usage:
Peaks at 74%
All audio tracks (17 tracks, 5 on Bus A): Usage 50-60% but after about 90
seconds usage shoots over 100% sound glitches, application unstable.
