What is best way for a Complete Novice to the recording industry ( but an intermediate to advanced Computer User and Vocalist) to learn how to use Sound Forge/Vega/ CD Architect; for the purpose of recording/mixing/ and publishing his own music. I was given the above mentioned programs for Christmas and now need to learn how to use them. I have a AMD 1800xp with 512 MB DDR RAM and a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum. Do you guys recomend books, if so which ones, or webs sites, this forum????? How about additional hardware that i may need? My wife is my musician and uses a Yamaha Clavinova to orchastrate. Thanks alot for your help. |

http://www.sonicfoundry.com/tutorials/default.asp This is the tutorial homepage. Select Sound Forge 6.0 tutorials. As far as Vegas Video 3.0, you could look into getting The DV and Audio Production Book available from SoFo via the "Products" page. For, CDA 5.0...don't know about that one, it's brand new. However, if you get used to Vegas, CDA is very similar in it's functionality/interface. HTH |
