Subject:old user, new problem

Hello,
I got tired searchhing throuigh all the archives on this, so I just decided to post...
I've used ACID since day one with no major probs, now using Acid 4 I am having one problem that is driving me up the wall.
For some reason when I erase a portion of a loop, it offsets the sample, pushing it back by the same amount that I am taking away. The sample itself is not staying on time or in place rather. Is there some sort of setting / preference that I am over looking?
The strange thing, is that it doesn't effect ALL of my tracks. Primarily loops I've made myself in Fruity Loops.
Anyone have any ideas?

are you using the ripple edit mode?
