Subject:Acid hardware controller?

...been using Cubase for the past year...wanted to remain with Acid 3.0, but needed more MIDI functionality. However, after reading up on 4.0, I'm convinced that I can return to my favorite program once again and rarely have to use anything else as a host sequencer.

However, having spent some time in the land of "great" sequencers, I definately liked the hardware surfaces for them. I was just wondering if Acid 4.0 supports any hardware surfaces or if Sonic Foundry (or perhaps a third party developer) has any plans for this possibility...any info is greatly appreciated...

I use a Tascam US224 with pretty good results. The only things that I can't use are the faders. However, I can scroll through the tracks and then use the jog wheel to adjust volume/pan. It actually speeds things up significantly.

Since ACID doesn't accept midi controller data, you have to use a midi translator (its free). I could e-mail my presets to anyone that's interested. It should also work with the US448.

that is why im slowly leaving SoFo behind NO HARDWARE CONTROLL!
