Subject:"mixing down" to 2 tracks & volume control over time

I know this sounds dumb but, as a new user to acid 4.0, I can't seem to fade in or fade out individual or master volume over time prior to rendering to a wav file. I have small looped sections that i have been muting & solo-ing & fading in & out to get ideas of a good mix- would it be possible to mix "live" to a 2 track master?

For individual tracks: Right-click a track and select Insert/Remove Envelope>Volume. An envelope should appear over your track. Double-click or hold down SHIFT+click on the envelope to add envelope points and adjust.

For the entire mix: Click View>Show Bus Tracks on the menu bar. Add a volume envelope and envelope points as I mentioned above.
