Subject:ACID and Absynth (again, sorry)

Sorry to beat this to death. 2 problems:

1.) In my pref>audio tab, I have 2 choices for M Audio Delta ASIO listed in the audio device menu (in addition to windows sound mapper and classic wave driver) That seems odd, is that a problem?

2.) I understand that I can only use one bank at a time of up to 127 presets in an ACID project, but when I have 2 VSTi instances of absynth open, every time I switch from one absy soft synth control it switches the patch back to patch 0?

absy 1.3.4
ACID4b
winxp SP1
m-audio "ACIDfixbeta" driver

Any help appreciated,

L

youre supposed to have 2 different drivers...the microsoft one is standard. then itll have youre soundcard driver. so thats totally normal

as for having 2 instances of Absynth...thats iffy. just because you have to open the whole engine to run it. so id say just use one, then render it, then import the wav back in, then choose your next patch.

simple as that

I have the FM7 Demo and I can run 2 instances, switch back and forth and the patches stay the same. (On the demo version I can only have one bank of 127 patches, so I can't check if separate simultaneous banks can be run). I was hoping I could run multiple absy VSTi's, but your suggestion is a good work around.

Did you understand that my M-audio soundcard driver is listed twice in addition to the MS?

Thanks,

L
