Greetings. Apparently I have a sample rate compatibility issue when recording audio into sound forge 6.0 from my Tascam controller (24bit). I made sure to change the sample rate settings in Sound Forge to 24bit (and even 32) but this message still appears:
"The Microsoft Sound Mapper recording device does not support one or more of the current format parameters ( sample rate, number of channels, or bits per sample).
Does anyone know what's up with this?

Does your soundcard support 24bit?

Actually, my sound card is the Tascam US 428 unit. THe sound card in my machine is a Sound Blaster Live but I don't use that. Usually I put the recording device to either Microsoft Sound Mapper or the Tascam US 428 A:B setting. Neither are working!

Set the Recording and Playback device to the Tascam in SF > Options. Then click the Record button > New and if the Tascam is capable of 24 bit then use that setting and use 44,1 for the sample rate setting. See if that works, if not click New again and set it to 16 bit/44,1 sample rate, this is pretty standard and should work.
