Having Trouble with VST Latency: Please Help -ACID Product Family

Subject:Having Trouble with VST Latency: Please Help Posted by: bandwithnoname Date:1/2/2003 8:14:13 PM Hi there, I am having trouble playing VST instruments in Acid 4.0 particularly with FM7. I'm Using an Echo Mia Soundcard and my old SBLive for Midi input. While playing in FM7 Itself I get latency of 20ms which is fine but when I try to play the FM7 in Acid (to play along with stuff and record it) there seems to be a huge delay. While the midi notes are recorded as I play them the intstument sounds take about half a second for the sound to come out so its very hard to play in time with the rest of the track. While its easy to adjust latency in the FM7 program istelf, there doesn't seem to be a way of doing this in Acid. Is there a simple solution to this problem? I'd really appreciate any help... Subject:RE: Having Trouble with VST Latency: Please Help Reply by: SonicJG Date:1/3/2003 5:00:01 PM Try Options/Prefs/Audio, and switch to ASIO, if your card supports it. Pressing the Advanced button will allow you to configure your ASIO latency. HTH, Joel
