Subject:Missplaced Markers when saving to MP3

I use SF6.0 on a daily basis and I save to MP3 128kb file format with no problems. I recently downloaded version 6.0d and this time when I saved, when I redisplayed the file, "all" the markers were off.

You know that if you spend a lot of time getting your loop points just right and marked, for you to come back to the file and find them all off by a few milliseconds is extremely frustrating.

I read in a prior post that SF adds time to the file when saving as a MP3 but in all of my experience with this product, I've never seen the markers move like this.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks for any assistance you can lend.

If i may ask, why are you saving markers in an MP3 file? If you're planning on doing more work with the file later on, MP3 is a poor format. While you're still working on the file, you should be saving as .wav or at least .pca. Every time you save to MP3 you lose some quality. Repeatedly loading and saving in MP3 will degrade the file. MP3 compression should be used only for finished projects.

Thanks for the suggestion. I teach a lot of exercise classes and burn tons of CD's. It's also a time thing. Doing everything in .WAV's would take forever. What I will do is work with it in .WAV's and final step it to MP3 per your suggestion. But I had been working this way for well over a year with no problems from SF.

Now I'm curious to see if it will save in a WAV file correctly.
