Subject:"Inserting time code" Posted by: CrazyRussian Date:12/21/2002 7:39:56 PM This is regarding SoftEncode, there is an option in "Encode Settings" to "Add Time stamps", and remarked that "Frames are 1/30th of a second", but NTSC video is 29.97 fps... let's say I render video out as m2v file and audio as wav out of VV and then use soft encode with "Add time stamps", would they match? Would i have audio and video synced? Right now i encode with that option not checked and was just alighning audio and video files in DVD authoring software, so far audio and video were perfectly in sync, but i have some projects comming up where i can reeeeeeeeeaaaly benefit with having time stamp in ac3 files. Any info is greatly appreciated

All is well if I encode the audio and video from the same source, using the same start/end times, and then marry the MPEG and AC-3 in the authoring app. What DVD app are you using to prepare/burn?
