Expand the clip so you can see all the individual frames separatly - yes? This way you will have a view as to what is going on. This has driven me bonkers in the past as well. Oh, have you tried "splitting" in the middle of the clip? Do you still get the same effect?

We are trying to track this issue down...

Does "slipping" (alt-drag) the media in event resolve the frame, or move it?
Does a lower layer show through where the black frame is?
Does adding the same media again as a "take" resolve the frame?
If you apply the Invert FX to the event, does the frame turn white?
Is the audio the exact same length as the video (zoomed waaaay in)?
Is the source audio 48k or 32k?
Does this occur with footage from different cams/decks?

Please post: project properties, media properties and system specs.

It moves it but does not solve problem

Yes

It has been occuring with DV footage from a canon camera and photoshop stills and screen capture (avi) footage
