FX will not launch??????????

Are you sure it is not showing? I've had this problem where one window was hiding OR laying on top of the one I had just opened! Try moving the windows about - yes? Maybe this is the issue.

Ive done that befroe and forgot that the windows can be docked and minimized...Ahhh!
