Cubase SX has a beatslicer function. Then I found out that Acids automatic beatslicer functions are really very much better as Cubase can handle it. Therefore the right solution would be to combine the programs over Rewire since I tried out Ableton live (which beatslicer functions are great as well). My impression is that it was an mistake to go for Vsti and it would have been better to implement the Rewire funktion and to concentrate on Acid as a pure loop construction software. Can we expect that Rewire will be introduced?

Rewire was all that was needed on top of an optimized 3.0g for the perfect app. Expect some good news along these lines from the new owners by the Fall. At this point in SOFO hands, it's just rearranging deck chairs on the Lusitania. The torpedos have struck, so let's just file down to the lifeboats in an orderly fashion and wait for the next ship to sonic paradise.
