I'm Disk Jockey using sound forge 6.0 - I want to record mixed tracks but don't want to make it all one big sound file - I want to separate each track when it's being mixed (don't know what these separations are called) so that when I play it on my cd player I can search through all the tracks, how can I do this? |

Set markers whre you want the "tracks" to start/stop. Convert the markers to regions, then extract the regions. You will then have separate .wav files which you can reassemble and burn to CD. I've never tried to burn a CD in Forge, so I'm not sure if you can do it like this, but if you have CD Architect, you can lay the large file down and manually set track markers which will give you what you want when you burn your CD. |
