I'd love to get rid of Cakewalk!!!!!!!!!!! I know I can access them via VSTs, but latency becomes somewhat of an issue. That is what makes Soundfonts so great.

I really don't like VSTs, since they 1) require much more cpu power and 2) the latency on them suck unless you have a top notch system. I'd rather utilize the soundcard and use soundfonts, where latency is not an issue at all. Any ideas? Currently I do all of my sequencing in CakeWalk, then I create wav exports for each track and do all of my arranging in ACID. It isn't all that bad, but if I can optimize the process, I will. Besides, I expect they burned some major midnight oil trying to get 4.0b out in time for us all to have it over the holidays. I mean, geez, give them a break.
