Subject:I see it....but I don't hear it!

I just re-opened a project, went to add another instance of a file in the timeline, but when I play it back it isn't there! Keep in mind this sound file already exists within the project file, and plays fine up until the new instance. I painted it in, and I see it.......but I don't hear it! What the????????

Yeah i had near enough the same thing happen to me but,in my case i drew a box around about three bar's moved them further along the time line so i could add sections in between,and when i moved the samples back they were there but no sound was produced as the time line moved over that section?????????????!!

Hey, Skot........I have since found that if I copy and paste from a point in the project that is making sound, it works.......but that doesn't explain the problem......
