hello everybody,
does anybody use rme-audio sound cards in Acid 4.0 with asio driver?
I get crack & pop noises unless I select highest latency of 46ms. I am running midi tracks and live playback of VST synths when this occur. the CPU load is very low. these problems don't occur in other sequencers like Cubase VST32 V5.1r2pb2, Ableton Live v1.5, Reason 2.0 and Software-technology's Vaz2010. please help me out here.
I'm posted this earlier, but got no reply then.

Hello jocks-

We're running a test system here with a RME DIGI9652 without problems.

Please update to version 4.0a if you have not already. If you are continuing to have this problem, please post back or email me and let me know a bit more regarding your project and system.

Items- processor speed, memory, OS, which RME card specificially, which VST synths, etc.

Thanks.
-Jenn

hi Jenn,
sorry for not reading your reply earlier.
Now I have acid4.0b installed but the same problem with Vaz2010 v1.03 is there.
crackle & pops comes with almost every played note, especially when hold pedal is pressed. Vaz2010 also opens a full window for editing, but has to be minimized in order to show the acid4.0 window. Vaz 2010 and the Vaz Modular are multitimbral VSTi synths that support multi output as well. Perhaps a contact with Martin Fay, the programmer of these synths will help out ?
my gear is:
athlonXP 2100+, MB: asus a7v133c, 512MB SDRAM, graphic card: tnt2m64 with 32mb soundcards: RME96/8 & SB Live. MIDIcard: Emagic MT-4 USB interface, network card: realtec rtl-8029, software: Win XP fully updated as well as all other hardware drivers. I do believe Acid4.0 and Vaz 2010 will be a perfect pair for my electronica music.
hopefull and waiting :-)
