Hi There, I jsut downloaded and installed the 6.05 drivers from Echo....i am using a gina 20 sound card. In the past everything always worked fine, but now, when i record directly into Acid 4 or Vegas 3 the file is delayed a few ms, and not in sync with the rest of my audio tracks. The funny thing is it is in sync just fine when i record into Acid 3....so what setting am i missing here? Thanks Rick |

Hmmm. Try playing around with hardware recording latency on the Audio tab under Options>Preferences on ACID's menu bar. HTH, Iacobus |

Also the PureWave feature is still considered to be in beta. Personally I would appreciate you posting any feedback regarding your experience with it. I have a Layla 24 and and will be moving from 98SE to XP soon. I'm wanting to try out Purewave as it looks very promising. Thanks, drbam |

Mystine, I have a mia card, and have the same latency problem when recording in acid 4. To get around this by recording with ntrack with no latency problems. Adjusting buffers have done nothing for me (although the amount of latency seems to be related to the buffer size), and asio mme purewave is all the same. If I really wanted to get things right I could mess with the offset option, but since ntrack works well with recording and I have to use it for multiple imputs any way, I have resolved to keep this up untill I find a solution. I could go back to the 6.04 (I don't remember this problem then), but 6.05 seems much more stable in acid 4 (no lockups). Sorry I'm not much help on the subject, but maybe it is comfort to know it is not just you. drbam, I had very poor results with purewave myself, so I just keep the imputs/outputs set to wdm in the settings in the mia console. There is a seperate buffer setting for the purewave drivers like asio, except they are independent of your program buffer settings, and it is hard to get the magic combination of the two to make things run smooth, and the documentation is very scetchy seeing it is beta. I expect improvements in the future. |
